INVADING ABANDONED SPACES
Invading abandoned spaces is a concept of an abandoned area transformed into an open art gallery
for graffiti and street art to flourish in between the city's concrete jungle.
I initiated the project when I came across an abandoned fire station
near my locality which was lying still in its undead position.
The terracotta tiled walls seemed like the most optimal surface for an experimental art project.
I started with producing a couple of small pieces with other graffiti writers from around the city.
Progressively we produced a bunch of bigger pieces in and around the premises.
What we observed was that this space eventually started gaining attention and trust among the
community locals and youths from in and around the area.
The spaces plays as a getaway area for all those looking for caring out their side ventures.
This place is situated at Faridabad, NCR adjacent to Suraj Kund Delhi road.
